Is there anything more summer than ice cream? I’ll never forget the week I spent on Kiawah Island with my family. We had ice cream every night. We tried a different creamery each night. My favorite was called Beaches and Cream. :) Above, I rounded up a few gifts for the ice cream lovers in your life. A few of these would make a cute summer birthday gift and others would be perfect for a hostess gift.
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the ice cream giveaway! I am excited to announce the winner! Remember, if you win, you get to choose a gift card to your favorite ice cream parlor. @marci24611!!!!!!!! Congratulations Marci!!!! :D Happy National Ice Cream Day!!!!!! :*)
P.S. What’s your favorite flavor? I have two: black cherry and banana cream pie. : )
As mentioned once or twice, ;*) the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday! I don’t make a special treat every year – last year I made a centerpiece and in years past I’ve made decorations – but when I found these popsicles on Pinterest I couldn’t resist! My mom helped me with the strawberry ones and I handled the blueberry on my own the next day. I have yet to try a blueberry but I taste tested a strawberry and it was delicious! They were not difficult to make at all!
You can find the strawberry cheesecake popsicle recipe here. Thanks Jackie!
Follow this link to the blueberry cheesecake popsicle recipe. Thanks Arlene!
Happy Fourth of July everyone! : )
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with those you love most! On New Year’s Eve, #theyearoftaylor was trending and since Taylor Swift is my all time favorite, it’s only fitting that I turn to her songs for some new year’s resolutions inspiration. I paired lyrics from Taylor’s songs with some quotes I had pinned on my live, laugh, learn Pinterest board. I hope these lyrics and quotes encourage you to fill your heart with whats important and be done with all the rest.

Jean shorts used be considered casual wear, but these days, there are so many different ways to dress them up. Whether it’s with a statement necklace and blazer or a pair of booties and a kimono, jean shorts are definitely a summer staple. They come in a variety of styles and it can be overwhelming trying to find the pair that works best for you. I have narrowed down some of my personal favorites above. As you can see, I am a fan of distressed denim and I am leaning towards the “rolled hem” pair from Free People. I have also wanted a lace pair for some time now and really like the pair from Revolve Clothing. Do you have a favorite pair of jean shorts? What do you like to wear them with?

I have always been drawn to white dresses. I have about six hanging in my closet right now and yet, every time I go shopping I find myself trying one on. Whoever I am with (usually one of my sisters or my mom) almost always asks “don’t you have that?” My reply, “yea but this one is different!” While I can’t justify purchasing all of these, it only makes sense to have at least one from each category, right? : ) You see, a little white dress is perfect for just about any summer occasion. Whether you are heading to Sunday brunch or a baby shower, one of the little while dresses in the “Sunday Best” category will have you covered. I don’t even think I can choose a favorite from this list because I love them ALL! : ) What about you? How do you prefer your little white dress, embroidered, pleated, or with a little bit of lace?

I have never been much of a handbag girl, but lately I keep adding more and more to my wishlist. It may have something to do with all of the pretty pastel and spring colors that they come in or perhaps it is the fact that I recently bought my first (number 6 on this list) and am now hooked!

It is finally spring time in Ohio! Everywhere you look there are tulips and white and pink trees blossoming. I received this dress as a birthday gift way back in February and have been patiently waiting to wear it ever since. This past weekend, my sister graduated from college. (I could not be more proud of her and P.S. how cute does she look?) : ) I thought this dress would be the perfect way to welcome Spring and I knew the Mount Union campus would be beautiful this time of year. (I was right!) These are my favorite pair of sandals and I wear them every chance I get. I have a feeling that this dress/these sandals might be an outfit that my sisters and I share:)

Ever since I saw the movie Endless Love on Valentine’s Day I have been dreaming of replicating Jade Butterfield’s effortless summer style. I put together five different outfits that resemble her looks throughout the movie: romantic, flirty, pretty, playful, and casual. From Jade’s drop waist dresses to her grey Converse sneakers, everything she wears looks like she just threw it on on her way out the door (in a good way). It’s not quite time for summer dresses yet (at least not in Ohio) so when I visited my sister in Texas last month I took advantage of the warmer weather and paired my own pair of high tops and with a lace dress for a day of outdoor shopping. As you can tell, I am loving delicate jewelry right now. I like that you can layer a couple of bracelets and rings and the overall look still feels easy, simple, and carefree – exactly what summer should be.
